Just thought I might roll around some notions of what might happen post MBT.
I have a sea-story idea rattling about in my head, but want so much to stretch out and explore beyond the Soutlands. Perhaps I might try doing a full tale and pop out a few short stories in the process...
As for leers, Sara Charlotta Johansson, well there is one front and centre in the up-and-coming The Corsers' Hinge, we even get to see from his point of view... but I shall not reveal any more.
Also, there is a discussion over at the Cult regarding the changing of the series title of the US/Canadian edition, new name, new cover, re-launch of first two books, all rather intriguing. Let us discuss...

Here's a little late friday night info for you, since i'm stuck at work anyway:
Eckel will be in Germany from the 21st till the 29th of January.
And he will be working at the Brighton Tattoo Convention on January 30th and 31st.
So if you wanted to come by and talk to him at the shop, please wait until the 2nd of February where he'll be at the shop most of the day, doing just that.
Our work schedules are pretty random these days, so we advice you not to drop by without emailing us first, cause we might not be here.
Also, between January 29th and February 8th we won't be answering mails or taking any consultations.*
During that time Allan will be working, but the shop will be closed for everyone except the people getting tattooed.

A not so fun update
For personal reasons, we've been forced to cancel our trip to the Milan Tattoo Convention in February.
Allan hadn't booked any clients for the show, but we still sincerely apologize to anyone who was hoping to get tattooed by him during the convention.
We hope to be back at our usual spot next to Mr. Dettmer next year!
The next convention Uncle Allan is attending will be Ink n Iron in Long Beach, California in June.

As you all know we've been a little preoccupied with the new shop lately.
And we still are.
We've been at the same spot for about 9 years, so moving is a big deal, even bigger than if we were moving to a new apartment, i think.
It's gonna be the beginning of a new era for us, with new possibilities and new projects and... shit like that, you know what i mean!
So with all that going on, it's easy to forget to blog about other stuff.
Like what it's all about, which is art.
Basically.
So with that in mind i thought i'd post a couple of new tattoos.
Both tattoos are on the same client, Kane from Australia.
He got tattooed two days in a row, one day by Eckel and one day by Allan, and sat like a trooper for both sessions.
What a guy!

Today we went by the new shop again.
Renovations seem to be going great, but since there's so much to do, it's hard to say when exactly it'll be finished and when we'll have the opening party.
But we've decided to make the official moving day, at least for now, March 1st.

-Take the train or metro from inside the terminal
-Get off at Nørreport Station
-Walk down Frederiksborggade
-Cross Dr. Louise's Bridge
-After you've crossed the bridge you either turn right and walk along the lakes, or go down the next street, Ravnsborggade, until you get to Schleppegrellsgade.

Well, just to be different I have not begun the year with a January first wow-wee blog post; I have waited instead until the day before I move house for the 6th time in 10 years. Was it just me, or did the entry into this new year seem a tad low key?
Well, here we are, 2010 - the year of Factotum, of The Corser's Hinge, of me thinking about and beginning a new tale: I have a few notions kicking around about what could be told next, certainly it will be set in the Half-Continent (I do not think I have much to say beyond it...)
I think maybe some manner of adventure (a nice, contained middle-class kind of adventure, of course) might be in order, something to revive a soul rung a bit thin after 6 years on Rossamund's story.
What are you folks thinking might be good for the new annum?
BTW: in a fit of ego, whilst checking the spelling of "annum" at The Free Dictionary, I found that they had an entry on me (I couldn't resist!) A little buzz for the ego...

I started packing already.
Well, a little bit of packing anyway.
I had one tiny little box lying around and i needed to do something, so i packed up some of the stuff around my fortress.
There wasn't actually room for all of them, just the ones in my office
Newest additions to the family: lego Conspiracy crew, a present from some recent Aussie clients

3.0 update
Yesterday we made two visits to the new shop, so i figured it was about time with an update.
The renovations started right after New Years, and so far it's going really well.
We got people working on floors, walls, windows, electricity and wallpaper.
We pretty much have people taking care of everything!
We're still planning on having a work weekend though, maybe in early february, where we're gonna paint some rooms and eat some pizza, and you'll all be very welcome to join us.
More updates on that plan later!
